Elizabeth I - General Story in Evony
In 1559, England had her greatest Queen of the House of Tudor: Elizabeth I. She led England to a new chapter in English history. In 1588, the Spanish Armada, a great fleet of ships, set sail for England.
Despite concerns about her personal safety, Elizabeth inspected her troops at Tilbury in Essex and addressed one of her most famous speeches. Then, the English troops defeated the invading fleet with the geographical and weather advantages, and England became a new overlord on the Atlantic.
Elizabeth adopted a highly compatible policy internally, to unite England, which was in a state of religious division and chaos, and successfully maintained the unity of England. Under her reign, England became one of the most powerful countries in Europe.
And English culture has also reached its peak, with the emergence of extremely far-reaching figures such as William Shakespeare, Francis Bacon, Francis Drake and Walter Raleigh. The reign of Elizabeth I is known as the golden age.
